Hey y’all–I was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas. I took a BA in Music/German/Sound Studies at Cornell, and now I am taking an MFA as a Performer/Composer at CalArts in Valencia, CA.
In addition to music, I am interested in field recordings as artistic praxis. What information do our sonic environments communicate to us? How can field recorded work be contructed in a way that embodies and problematizes social/artistic themes?
Recently, I have been thinking about themes of transience and fluidity. The idea of passing from one place into another is represented in my work Berlin Locomotives.
I hope y’all enjoy:)
